SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for performing systems support through user interaction, application configuration, and maintenance activities to include analysis and design, coding, testing, implementation and documentation for the TMS (Transportation Management System) group primarily with OTM (Oracle Transportation Manager). The analyst will focus on both tactical and strategic project requests as directed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and maintain integration maps for middle-ware integration system that links WMS’s and carrier EDI to the TMS
• Assist the Implementation Project Manager with client startups
• Develop SQL based custom business reports.
• Provide level 1 and 2 support of issues with OTM
• Develop procedural specifications for modifications to existing programs and integration between OTM and business partners, customers and other internal applications.
• Perform Quality Assurance and Control Testing on all third-party builds and modifications, as well as, application upgrades
• Travel: 10 – 30%
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
• Strong Oracle SQL required (PL/SQL Desired)
• Familiarity with SQL*Plus, Embarcadero Rapid SQL or TOAD desired
• OTM experience strongly preferred or comparable web-based TMS
• Analytical, logical, self-reliant problem-solving ability required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required
• Ability to meet with customers strongly preferred
• Microsoft Office required
• XML and XSL familiarity recommended
LOCATION
Brentwood, TN preferred. Other locations would be considered if the candidate has strong OTM experience.
SUPERVISORY REPONSIBILITIES
Although this position does not have any formal supervisory responsibilities, the incumbent may act as a coach/mentor to other team members.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Associates degree, or equivalent, in computer science, management information systems, business administration or related area required. Bachelor degree preferred.
• A total of eight ("8") years combined education and experience in application development & maintenance and/or systems analysis & design required.
• Application development experience and/or training in target systems environment to include relevant development toolsets, programming languages, database management systems, and utilities required.
• Experience with a transportation management application system strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills required. Experience on project teams preferred.
• Must possess strong oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment.
