  • Set up Mass Update Functionality

    I would like to make the Mass Update utility available on the Order Release results screen because the planners here often find they need to change the same thing on multiple orders before they can be planned.

    Can someone tell me the steps required to make the Mass Update icon appear on the result screen?

    This is described in detail in OTM Help: just enter 'mass update' in the Help Index

      Hi,

      Inside the result tab of the screen set, Enable the Editable field option for column which needs to be mass updated.

        Re: Set up Mass Update Functionality

        Hi,
        Can anyone let me know how to mass change the dates for multiple order releases so that they can be planned into single shipment? We have a requirement where our customer has more than one order releases to be picked from a supplier. The material available dates are multiple but all of them are within a particular week. In this case we want to plan a single shipment where all the order releases can be loaded into a single truck as full truckload.

        Thanks,
        Venkat.

          I suggest you also allow them to enter the same Ship With Group for the order releases that you want to plan into a single truck.

            Re: Set up Mass Update Functionality

            You don't need to sync the available dates (Early Pickup Date) for OTM to put the orders on a single shipment. OTM will just create a shipment with the start date being the latest Early Pickup Date.

              Re: Set up Mass Update Functionality

              Lourens,
              There is a new parameter introduced from OTM 5.5 CU6 RU3 / 6.0.6 / 6.1.2
              glog.business.consolidation.bulkplan.orderSortByDa teType
              This specifies which date is used to sort the orders in order bundling
              0 = SORT_BY_EARLY_PICKUP_DATE
              1 = SORT_BY_LATE_PICKUP_DATE
              2 = SORT_BY_EARLY_DELIVERY_DATE
              3 =SORT_BY_LATE_DELIVERY_DATE
              Also added the following parameter: Bundle Max Num Of Days (in Order Management section). This specifies the maximum number of days the order dates can be apart of each other in an order bundle. The order date is the date specified in the property above (orderSortByDateType). The default, 0, means no restriction. The default is set to 0 to maintain backward compatibility.
              The existing logic was hard-coded to sort orders by late delivery date. Now the user has the ability to sort by another date. The existing logic does not sort orders by volume. It appears to be sorted because the logic goes through the list of bundles already built and tries to add new orders to the bundles. The bundles in the front of the list get more chances.
