  • [SOLVED] MultiStop Scenario

    HI All,

I am just trying to execute the multistop scenario provided by OTM web-help.

    I have taken 3 orders :

    1 ) Order-1 --> Phoenix to Los Angeles
    2) Order -2 ---> Phoenix to Los Angeles
    3) Order - 3 ---> Phoenix to San Diego

I have defined an Itinerary with State/Province from AZ to CA
Also have defined a rate distance is defined as look up only.
When I have tried to create the multi-stop shipment then an error is coming that
"Failed to pair any two shipments
    ".

Could someone let me know if I have missed out on anything.

    Regards

    Re: MultiStop Scenario

Have you defined the distance between two province in OTM,check that.the best way to verify itinerary is created properly or not is through find route and rates query, first try to verify your itinerary.

is ur rate service type "simulation" or is it lookup if so u might have to create the az- ca lane and mention the service time

        Re: MultiStop Scenario

        HI Raj,

My rate service type is "Simulation" and have assigned the rate service ID to rate offering.
In rate offering have assigned the Stops included in rates as 2.

In rate record have defined the Source geography as the USPIN3 to Destination geography as "State/Province". In Attributes also have defined the parameters accordingly.

        HI Surender.

As per your reply, I have checked the rate query, but the route/rate query is not giving any output. However, rate query alone is giving the output. So Could u please let me know the problem.

I am attaching the screen shots for your better understanding.

            Re: MultiStop Scenario

            Hi,

You have done the wrong setup for itinerary, please set the geographical hierarchy for itinerary what you have set for rate record for that lane.

Whenever you define rates and path ,try to compare them.

              Re: MultiStop Scenario

              HI Surender,

I have checked the power data as well, there also I have defined lanes
AZ-CA with the options selected as " State/Province" to "State/Province".
Another lane selected as AZ-SD with options as "State /Province " to "City"
Third lane is defined as LA- SD from "City " to "City"
Another Lane is defined as PH-LA from "Location to "City"
Final Lane is defined as SD-LA from City to City.

I am attaching the screen shot again to have another check from your end.
Please confirm what is the missing link here.

                  Hi Ravi,

This lane is already defined by me. If possible, can u send me the sample screen shots of Multistop scenario available with u.

                  Regards

                    Hi All,

I am still not able to make my multistop scenario working. I guess some thing has gone wrong in the configuration , I have made.

Want to ask a few questions:

                    1) In Multi-stop scenario, if the itinerary is defined with Provinces (Like AZ- CA) then what makes the system the pick the lanes like

                    Phoenix(AZ) --- Los Angeles(CA) ---- San Diego(CA)

I was thinking that System can pick the lanes like this as well:

                    Phoenix(AZ) ---- San Diego(CA)--- Los Angeles(CA).

Please reply back asap on this.

                    Regards

                      Hi,

                      have your problem got solved?
If YES then please provide the details of the scenario with screen shots attached if possible.
It would be helpful for everyone to know the error in configuration

                      Regards,

                        Re: MultiStop Scenario

                        Hi create 3 lanes

Phoenix(AZ) ---- San Diego(CA) ex 200 miles (Check the RATE DISTANCE(Select lookup ) WHILE CREATING THE DISATNCE USE THE SAME IN THE RATE OFFERING)

                        San Diego(CA)--- Los Angeles(CA). ex 300 miles

                        Phoenix(AZ) ---- Los Angeles(CA). ex 700 miles .

In youR palning parameter change the MULTISTOP RATE DISTANCE ID to the rate distance you have mentioned in the Rate offering .

                          Re: MultiStop Scenario

                          Hi Kishore,

                          Sry for late response..

I am not sure if there is any planning parameter like one you have mentioned:
I found only these planning parameters:

MULTISTOP CONFIG IDMULTISTOP DEFAULTMULTISTOP DEFAULTMULTISTOP XDOCK INBOUND AFTER OUTBOUND COMPLETE

                          FALSE FALSE

Also, please let me know: What's the purpose of changing the planning parameter MULTISTOP RATE DISTANCE ID ? The scenario can be executed even without doing that as well.

Secondly, If an error like this comes then what could be the reason:

Failed to reassign equipment group and recalculate cost for TShipmentPair: Pair of: 7398783 (PHOCORP.C-10->PHOCORP.C-13) and 20591164 (PHOCORP.C-10->PHOCORP.C-14) Distance Saving: 1947.87 MI Orders: PHOCORP.20080410-0001, PHOCORP.20080410-0002,

                              Re: MultiStop Scenario

                              Hi there,

Is this issue resolved? I was looking at your screen shot on your rate service definition (defined as SIMULATION), but could not find the details of your rate service e.g. the speed per distance breaks. Were you able to build shipments on your orders (multi-stop or otherwise) via bulk planning?

Also, if you're using simulation, you got to make sure your locations are having lat/long values defined. If your locations are in the US, you'll need to make sure that they all have postal codes as I believe OTM will automatically derive the Lat/Long values.

Previously I was using a rate service that is based on service times by lanes but were not successful in creating a multi-stop shipment, i.e. OTM creates individual shipments during bulk plan. Only after I used SIMULATION as my rate service and ensure that all the location on my orders are explicitly having lat/long values, will OTM build mutli-stop shipments.

                              Hope this helps.

                              Cheers,
                              Simon.
