Could anyone get Map shipment action working properly? Here it is placing the shipments stops not at the right lat and long coordinates.

Also, in 6.2 is the distance calculation done more accurate based on the turn by turn functionality?
    Thanks

    Re: Map shipments

    Hi Daniel,

Yes in 6.2 you can see turn by turn view in maps but.. you need to configure below properties properly ... with action MAP >>> View driver directions
    • glog.map.baseurl
    • glog.map.service_name
    • glog.map.basemap
    • glog.map.map_height
    • glog.map.show_related_objects
    • glog.map.show_stop_activity
    • glog.map.spatial.routingengine
I hv yet to use Map shipment to see if it works as expected by other old OTM Versions..

      Re: Map shipments

      Hi,
Apology if it is a silly question. But what is a map shipment? I have never heard of it.

        Re: Map shipments

        Geetikadua,

map shipment is an action at the shipment level where it can be plotted into a map, making it easier to visualize the shipment rote. In 6.2, for some countries you can visualize at a street level (turn-by-turn).

        Ashok,

What values are used for this parameters?

        Thanks,

        Daniel

          Hi daniel,

refer to help section of " View Driver Direction " : The routing engine is specified in the glog.map.spatial.routingengine property.

You may need help of your DB for this setup and more clarity on Oracle Spatial settings... & Mapping server ...

            Re: Map shipments

By default OTM is setup to use the Spacial server from Oracle. If your web/app servers don't have external internet access this won't work so you may want to look into that.

              Re: Map shipments

There is no extra set up needed, In OTM 6.2 map and plot shipment works out of box.

Basically OTM it's getting Map sourced from Oracle eLocation Services
that's come with out of the box OTM 6.2 full install.

                Re: Map shipments

Vinoth - The map is actually loaded, but the shipments are not set at the expected postion. What could it be? The locations are only loaded with lat and long, should it also have the addresses?
                Thanks

                  Re: Map shipments

Daniel, Yes it's not a street level mapping, elocation will help to map on the highlevel. Oracle dev is working to getting this rolled out with street level mapping.

But You can get exact driving direction by "Show driving directions". Map as is in very initial stage of development(Those applies to NA for sure).
                  Thanks,
