  • View 3D Load Config

    Hi All,

Does anybody have configured the Load Configuration module in OTM. Here on my setup I configured the required objects, however when you select the shipment (Buy Shipment), and run action View Load Config from View action group; the View Load Config screen with black display comes up, while the Cortona Console displays line http://<otmserver>/GC3/glog.webserver.uic.misc.LoadingConfig3DServlet/1201723054099(127) : float expected.

I could find that a table called s_ship_unit_piece, this has some relation to. Does anybody had the chance to configure the right co-ordinates required in this table. For testing purpose I won't mind if somebody could give junk co-ordinates which would show a proper output on View Load Config screen.

Appreciate your help if anybody could share the right method to configure Load Configuration and view the right output in View Load Config action on Buy Shipment.

    Thanks,
    Suresh

      Re: View 3D Load Config

      Hi Suresh,
Did you manage to find how the details are getting populated into the S_SHIP_UNIT_PIECE table? I am stuck at the same step. If I manually insert the details into this table, View Load Config brings up with a 3D diagram. However when I build a shipment, the details are not geting populated into this table and hence I get the error : "The loading configuration of Shipment Equipment cannot be shown in 3D". If you can please share your findings, it will be very helpful.

      Cheers
      DD

        Re: View 3D Load Config

We are just starting to look at using the Load Configuration functionality and are encountering the same issue as you all...get the message that the load cannot be viewed in 3D. I have the Cortona viewer successfully loaded and have followed to the letter the limited setup instructions available on configuring the new 3D load building functionality that is supposed to be in 6.1. I have used the logs and diagnostics and it does appear that the 3D Load Configuration check is kicking in. I have confirmed by altering the order being planned and I do get failed to plan when I bump up the number of THUs to an out of range number that will not fit on the given equipment. We just cannot view a successfully planned shipment in 3D and a check of the S_SHIP_UNIT_PIECE table referred to above is completely empty. What is the setup trigger that populates this table? Thanks in advance for any tips on troubleshooting.

          Re: View 3D Load Config

          Hello everyone,
Since this post is about 3d Load Configurator, i'm posting here. Does anyone know if there's a parameter which forces OTM to use Only the Load Config Engine while launching the Bulk plan planning parameter.

          I'm using the 3D Placement.

Thus, LOAD CONFIG ENGINE TYPE = NO LOAD CONFIG
CONTAINER OPT CONFIG ID = 3D PLACEMENT
where USE 3D BASED LOAD CONFIGURATION = TRUE

The result of my shipment at time is:
LOAD CONFIG ENGINE TYPE = NO LOAD CONFIG (even if the total volume / weight doesn't exceed the equipment capacity)
          or
LOAD CONFIG ENGINE TYPE = 3D PLACEMENT

          I'm on OTM 6.2

          Thanks in advance

            Re: View 3D Load Config

Also double check if each ship unit on the order release have a THU configured and the equipment group have the dimensions set (lenght, width and height)

Also make sure you have Cortona installed.
