  • Pallet Space Modelling

    Hi,

Has anyone done rates and accruals modelling based on Pallet Spaces.
    Any references will be helpful.

    Regards,
    Naveen

    Re: Pallet Space Modelling

    Hi Naveen,

You can use the rate cost basis as per 'Ship Unit Volume'.
Let me know if this clarifies the issue.

      Re: Pallet Space Modelling

      Hi Divya,

Thanks for the quick reply. But unfortunately that won't help.

Actually pallet space is not always equal to the volume of a single pallet. Rather it is a unit-space within an equipment in which 1, more than 1 or even less than 1 pallets can be accomodated, which is further contrained by Max. Weight. So the requirement is to derive the rate costs on actual pallet spaces consumed & also to accrue accordingly after Ship Confirm.

Hope this makes the understanding clear enough.

      Regards,
      Naveen

        Re: Pallet Space Modelling

        Hi Naveen,

What i understand from you requirements is that you want to rate shipments based on the the Pallet Space (which in the Volume occupied and the Number of Pallets) inside the Shipment Equipment. For Example, When the Pallet count is 1 the cost should be say $x and when the pallet count is more than that then the rate should be $Y calculated based on the volume occupied.

In such a scenario, You can define Rate Break Profile based on Volume and define Charge Break Comparator as "Equipment Ship Unit SELECT Volume"

Let me know if this helps.

        Divya
