    How can I display Name in screen, but store GID in the database
    ============================================
    I wanted to change my custom Order entry screen to display PlanningGroupName in a drop down field, but when we save this it should get saved as a PlanningGroupGID field in the table such as Order_release and OB_Order_base etc..

    Does anyone have done anything like this before..?

    Thanks for your help

    Regards

    This seems related to another of your posts regarding PlannedShipment not containing the PlanningGroupName.

    Same question: why do you want the Name to be different from the GID?

      Hi,
      You can achieve that from the manager layout using the option "Replace GID".
      • Replace GID: Allows you to display the names of locations and items instead of the GIDs. Selecting this check box displays the Value to Replace GID list. This check box appears only if you have configured the glog.webserver.queryBy property for the specific query related to the field.
