  • [SOLVED] Win32 maximum JVM Heap?

With OTM v5.5 CU2, OTM moved to JRockit 1.4.2_11-b06 on Linux and Win32. On the Linux platform, this has enabled us to configure larger Java heaps (moving from 1400MB to 2500MB). Has anyone tested larger Java heaps with Windows? I know that Windows allocates memory differently...

    Thanks,
    Chris

I was finally able to test this out on a Win2k3 R1 server with 8GB of RAM. Unfortunately, the memory management and mapping issues of Windows prevail and OTM is not able to startup with a heap larger than 1400MB. So if you want to get the best performance and largest heap on Intel x86 hardware, Linux is still the champ!

    Hope this helps!
