  • Disabling an OTM Servlet

    Hi :

Is is possible to disable a particular OTM Servlet ? I am trying to do some testing and review logs. I dont want OTM to receive anything through integration at this time.

    OTM Version : 5.5 CU02.

    Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, no - it's not possible within the product. Some options would be to use a separate OTM web server for integration and then shut it down (so you can still access the web UI from another web server) -- or you may be able to hack the Apache httpd.conf file to prevent access to certain URLs - including the integration servlet.

The Servlet should have an entry in the web.xml file on the Web Server. It will not be accessible if the Servlet name and mapping are removed from this file.

That's a good point. Just keep in mind that Tomcat will need to be restarted after editing this file.

Applying patches will also overwrite any changes made to this file.
