  • OTM and Accounting Systems Integeration

    Hi all,

Does any one has any information on the list of External Accounting systems to which OTM can be integrated for Financial operations.

    Thanks

Re: OTM and Accounting Systems Integeration

OTM comes shipped with standard EBS integration.
Integration to any other system is possible as well, but integration would need to be developed.

What is the communication mode used between EBS and OTM for data transfer I mean
      is it XML / SOA?

Re: OTM and Accounting Systems Integeration

The existing EBS / OTM integration flows were hacked together in the early days of the G-Log acquisition and do utilize XML and the Oracle BPEL engine, but aren't full SOA flows. Mostly they were pieced together by spare resources in the development and consulting groups to satisfy RFI requirements. These have become better documented, however, they still have serious limitations (search through these forums for some of the know issues).

The newer integrations (Enterprise One, etc) are AIA based and any new integrations developed will also follow this trend.

Was there any standard / default Account system built in Glog before Oracle tie-up?

Re: OTM and Accounting Systems Integeration

There is a standard interface for financials (take a look at the OTM Integration Guide), but no standard pre-configured integration flows. OTM has historically been system agnostic, integrating with many, including: SAP, EBS, custom/homegrown, etc.
