  • Does OTM provide a mechanism for the loading of open shipments?

    Hi,

I would like to find out if OTM provides a mechanism for the loading of open shipments? For us open shipments are shipments which have not been closed. i.e. there might be an order but no planning or the shipment might be planned but not executed?

    Thanks in advance,
    Bruce

    Hi Bruce,

Yes OTM supports that... for detailed information on how to upload Orders and shipments ( Mandatory master data to pre -exist) refer to Data Management guide of the OTM Version you are working on...

      Hi Ashok,

Thanks for the quick response, I will have a closer look at the Data Migration guide.

Are open orders and shipments typically migrated to OTM as opposed to being run down on the legacy system?

      Thanks
      Bruce

        Hi Brucej,

Typically people use legacy system for generating demand and OTM for otimizing delivery , cost while fulfilling the demand ....

So you can migrate demand ( Orders ) and let OTM Plan / Optimize the demand to create best possible shipments ...
