  • [SOLVED] EBS-OTM Integration

    Hi all,

I am looking to integrate EBS R12.04 with OTM 5.5.04 using BPEL.I have some questions:

    1. Could someone know do I need to define the organization as a Domain in OTM?
    2. How Customer Sites,Warehouse Locations are sent from EBS-OTM. Is there any standard concurrent program available or you are just using Location XML to update the values in OTM.

    Regards

An EBS Org does not necessarily need to be a separate Domain inside OTM. We had multiple organizations in EBS and integrated into only a single OTM domain.

There is a concurrent program in EBS that calls BPEL process to integrate any items, locations, etc. over to OTM for each delivery that is sent. This is how the seeded BPEL integration works but likely you will want to modify these mappings to accomodate your business requirements.

      Jeff,

      Thank you for your response.

I have got the concurrent program that need to be run for the values like Location /item to get loaded in OTM directly. However if you are aware of this concurrent program "Shipping transportation outbound Interface" This program should create Order release in OTM from Delivery in EBS.

I am able to get Location,Item created automatically in OTM but Order release is not getting created. On analysing the error, I have found out that UOM's should match in both OTM and EBS, so I have defined the same UOM in EBS as available in OTM. Still this error is persisting, this time error is related to the UOM only but log displays that error has come at ship unit level.

In EBS, deliveries are defined at line level so I am not sure what is supposed to be done to get the UOM value correctly. Can you give me some pointer.

      Regards

        Re: EBS-OTM Integration

Couple things, first - are you seeing the Order Release come into OTM but failing in integration? If so, the log file gives you pretty good information about the error (as you can tell). Looks like you are getting enough info from the logfile to determine it is a UOM issue.
Secondly, I assume you are using the seeded integration in which case the UOM comes in on the transaction (order release) Ship Unit level - not the item. When you say you defined the same UOM in EBS, did you retrigger the delivery to go over to OTM a second time? Also pull the actual xml transmission and verify what is being sent to OTM.
Also, there are some UOM related setups that are required prior to setting up integration between EBS/OTM - double check that these setups have been completed. These are well documented in the EBS integration document.
If all above checks out, I would suggest double checking the EBS side setup - was it for the correct Org? what does the order line say is the UOM vs. the Shipment on the Shipping Transaction line? Also check the wsh_delivery_details table. There should be two separate UOM's populated for this line. I would suggest entering a brand new order to test with, Delivery detail = Ship Unit line when using standard Oracle integration for EBS/OTM.

        Hope this helps.

          Re: EBS-OTM Integration

          Jeff,

My problem has got resolved. DFF for UOM had to be defined in EBS under attribute15. thanks for your message.
