  • Is ROD an exact replica of OTM database schema?

Does anyone know if ROD is an exact replica of OTM data model? I know FTI is a star schema but I am not sure about ROD. Thank you for your help.

No - it's a partial copy, because not everything is copied over (though most is). For example, the XML Blob tables aren't replicated.

Thank you, Chris. For whatever is copied, is the data model same as OTM database?

Yes, it is. In v5.5, it's based on views and DB links. In v6.2, this should get a re-vamp.

          Response from Oracle:

          1. A Data Module / Dictionary of the ROD tables for 6.1.

ROD data model is same as OTM glogowner data model except it does not have columns with CLOB datatype. We do not have a separate data model for this to view.

          2. The client would also like to know if this is a STAR schema.

ROD is not star schema, It is almost same as OTM's GLOGOWNER - minus the clobs.
