If you're running OTM v5.5 and have a Windows Oracle Reports server, you've most-likely noticed that your HTML reports are not being formatted correctly (THEY LOOK HORRIBLE!) and it requires a lot of reports modifications in order to get them looking half-way decent. This can cost a lot of development time.
We've recently found a patch for Oracle Reports that appears to resolve this issue in most cases. I highly recommend installing it (in a TEST system first, of course). On Metalink, search for the following patch:
If you're using multi-byte character sets, then Windows is still the best way to go, though otherwise we highly recommend using Linux instead, as the reports server is much more stable and runs better.
Thanks,
Chris
