    The OTM SIG Board proudly organised an OTM User Conference in Singapore on 15-16 November 2018, which was the fifth OTM event in APAC to better serve the region, after a successful inaugural conference in 2014. Key representatives from OTM Strategy and Development will attend this conference, and various partners in OTM.

    OTM Product Development Update by Marybeth Roberts (Oracle)

    Abstract: This session will provide an overview of the key features provided in the latest release of Oracle Transportation Management (OTM). This session will also cover updates to OTM documentation, training and general development updates.

    Profile: Marybeth Roberts is Senior Software Architect and is responsible for product architecture design and solution approaches for Oracle OTM and GTM products. She has a key focus on the end to end logistics solutions in the Supply Chain Management product family. Ms. Roberts has 30 years of experience in the transportation management software space. Ms. Roberts was a founder of G-Log (Global Logistics Technologies) acquired by Oracle to be their transportation solution. At G-Log, Ms. Roberts was Vice President of Software Development responsible for the transportation product and design. Prior to founding G-Log, Ms. Roberts was at Manugistics, Inc for 12 years and had the role of Director of Architecture, reporting to the CTO. Ms. Roberts holds a BS in Computer Science from Juniata College.

      Logistics 4.0 - Realizing value beyond hypothesis through iOT/M by Trung Duc Le (Bac Ky Logistics), Ashlesh Garate (Accelalpha) and Gaurav Bhardwaj (Oracle)

      Abstract: With its ever-increasing demand for smarter supply chain management solutions, the logistics & transportation industry has been a key force behind the IoT upswing. "Smart" logistics operations with IoT use case has remarkable potential in terms of reducing core operational complexities for large number of logistics companies from different lines of businesses. He has managed the large transformational programs for Fortune-500 enterprises and led delivery and key solution service offering in warehouse and logistics domain. His significant contribution to build go-to-market strategies on emerging technologies and create a quantified value proposition which has resulted in revenue growth for the accounts he has managed. Ashlesh has successfully delivered more than 8 E2E projects with Oracle OTM as a technology which includes providing solution blueprint, fit/gap analysis, functional configuration, estimates, solution write-up and presentations.

      Trung Duc Le is COO of Bac Ky Logistics and his prime role is to manage the overall operations.

      Gaurav Bhardwaj is the sales leader for the Supply Chain Business at Oracle Corporation, ASEAN. In this role, his responsibilities include leading the Business strategy, go to market initiatives on Oracle's Digital Supply Chain Solutions comprising of Logistics, IOT Applications & Supply Chain Planning in the Cloud. Prior to Oracle, he has executed large scale consulting & business process reengineering implementations in ASEAN across Automotive, Oil & Gas, Retail, FMCG and Manufacturing Industries. He also has auto manufacturing domain expertise from his stint at Tata Motors, Pune Car Plant. Gaurav has Strong educational background in Supply Chain Management supported by Operations and Systems Management from IIM Kozhikode, India & Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from Nagpur Univ., India. Gaurav is a certified CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Management Professional) and CPIM (Certified in Production & Inventory Management) professional from APICS, USA and Project Management from U21Global. He has been a public speaker in major Supply Chain events in Asia.

Mr. Gittoes has 25 years of experience in supply chain software. Prior to joining Oracle in 2003, he was vice president of product solutions at G-Log, where he was responsible for product marketing. Mr. Gittoes was also a founder and managing director of Transport Dynamics, a company that specialized in the development of optimization software for transportation companies. Mr. Gittoes holds an MS in engineering from Princeton University and a BS in industrial engineering from the University of Manitoba.

            Planning for international logistics by Mohan Subramanian (Infosys)

            Abstract
            : Planning for international shipments not only consists of various modes of transport but also handling different INCO terms based on the contract with the destination. The paper talks about the various planning challenges for the different modes of transport and how to overcome them using solution in OTM. It will talk about not only transportation to own facilities but to shipper's customers as well.

            Profile: Mohan is currently the Oracle Logistics Practice lead at Infosys Ltd. He has over 20 years of experience in Supply chain and logistics domain business functions, providing global business solutions and transformations with Oracle SCM, OTM, Logfire-WMS Cloud for Fortune 500 companies.

              Efficient bulk inbound integration approach via DB.XML and DBXML Servlet by Simon Ang & Nitesh Sharma (BrightOrder)

              Abstract: DB XML Servlet presents a viable and efficient alternative to the typical CSV Data Load through HTTP POST method when loading massive amounts of records into OTM. In this presentation, we will share a use case involving voyage schedules and how DB XML Servlet nullifies bottlenecks during mass data uploads.               Profiles: Simon Ang is the Assistant Director for Global Consulting at BrightOrder. He has extensive domain experience in the areas of Logistics and Transportation having successfully implemented multiple IT projects across various industry verticals. He has been involved with Oracle OTM implementations ever since he joined G-Log in 2005 prior to the Oracle acquisition. He has done consulting work with global companies such as LF Logistics, DB Schenker, APL Logistics, Electrolux, TOLL (Australia) and TCS Express & Logistics. He is a supporter of lifelong learning and he is currently pursuing his MSc degree in Supply Chain Management at the National University of Singapore.

              Nitesh Sharma is a Solution Architect at BrightOrder. He is a highly experience techno-functional OTM consultant having worked on OTM projects that span across multiple industry verticals such as Retail, FMCG, Automotive, Freight Forwarding and Courier/Parcel. Prior to joining BrightOrder, Nitesh worked at Tesco, Hewlett Packard and Oracle. He was involved in the global OTM Implementations of Tesco, Hewlett Packard, FIAT, Unilever Europe, APL Logistics and TCS Express & Logistics.

Also covered will be an integration flow from EBS with batch orders (greater than 1 shipment) and multi leg. The impact of change management throughout the order lifecycle will be covered, as well as the technical areas of mapping and agent configurations.

                  Dynamic clustering in OTM using HERE Map (Unilever Case Study) by Suhel MD (Unilever) & Sumith Bhaskar (KPIT Technologies)

                  Abstract: Unilever believes in sustainable development goals with reduction in Carbon footprint. Dynamic clustering with HERE map is the planning technique adopted in Unilever where real life geographical constraints are being considered to build multi stop shipments. It provides most optimized shipment in terms of Load, distance covered, accurate route planning and in turn reduced CO2 emission. Recently it has been implemented in the frozen business of Philippines where business can foresee a tremendous benefit with 10% optimized shipments, 20% reduction in time, fuel consumption and an expected cost reduction of over 20%. Thus, dynamic clustering will create a win-win scenario for both Unilever and the service providers and make a greener and faster transportation landscape throughout the world.

                  Profiles: Suhel MD is a Senior IT manager with Transportation management within Unilever. He has been in the organization for more than eleven years and worked across areas of supply chain. In his most recent roles, he was subject matter expert for OTM implementation in Asia, Africa, Russia, Masreq, Magreb and Australia. He holds an engineering degree from National institute of science technology, Orissa and did EGMP from IIMB.

                  Sumith Bhaskar Rajendran is a Lead Principal consultant with KPIT technologies, currently handling two landscapes for Unilever. He has a total experience of Thirteen years of which more than Eleven years in OTM. He has done multiple end to end OTM implementations around the globe and have good customer facing experience.

                    Freight Exchange for complex 3PL and 4PL by Jaldhi Mehta & Mandar Joshi (Flo Group)

                    Abstract: The Flo team will give you an overview of the design for the use of 'Own Fleet' assets, ensuring that network resource pools are prioritised over external carrier resources. Gain further efficiencies via the freight exchange, enabling cross divisional collaboration and further internalisation and prioritising.

                    Profiles: Jaldhi is a Director at FLO ITS. He has been a Senior Architect on OTM for the last 12 years and has been in the lead architect for many complex OTM implementations and upgrade projects. As his most recently finalised assignment, Jaldhi was the Lead Architect on the Global Migration Factory Program at DHL.

                    Mandar has around 20 years of experience in Supply Chain. He has been a part of OTM family since 2005 (GLOG days). Mandar was the lead of the Migration Factory at DHL and the Program Manager from FLO Side.

                      Loading split functionality in OTM by Viji Subramanian (Infosys)

                      Abstract: When the height of the equipment is not the multiples of heights of pallets, we need to split the pallets so that we utilize the space of the equipment efficiently. This can be configured using Loading split functionality in OTM (which is available from 6.3.2 version). OTM will try to pack the equipment with full pallets first. When there is no room left, OTM will consider loading split options for the remaining space in the equipment.

                      Profile: Viji Subramanian has 12 years of experience in Oracle Transportation Management, both technical and functional expertise in implementing in OTM and worked extensively across various industry customers like Third Party Logistics providers, Aerospace & defense and Food and Beverages.
