Let's study how very first time with effective use of OTM cloud & PaaS simplifies/manages this business process. Key points: Overview and inter-relation between Shipper, Freight forwarder, NVOCC & Ship operators. Maintenance of Liners rates cost/Tariff which are ports, terminals specific, freight charges, local charges etc. Dash board for Commercial Team to finalize the minimum rate guidelines for quotation. Decision dash board contains many factors/parameters like demurrage value, budgeted quantity, top commodities for specific port pair. Real time RIQ interface interaction between OTM and PaaS. Optimum use of RIQ functionality to achieve MRG calculation. The tracking of the containers. The simulation bill of lading Scenario's. Effective maintenance of ports and terminals different formats of EDI's. Managing 60k owned/hired containers inventory.

Performance in the Cloud - Cummins GTM Performance Journey

Abstract: Performance within any environment is critical to a successful implementation and a successful solution. This is even more important when the solution is on the cloud. While GTM Cloud provides significant benefits, it also poses a unique challenge when managing performance. Performance tuning within the cloud requires an in-depth understanding of configurations are available and what approaches need to be considered when migrating or implementing on cloud. Please join Sree Subramanian, Logistics IT Manager, as he outlines Cummins experience in performance tuning to support their Item Classification Automation and extensive Restricted Party Screening, screening over 8.5 million parties a day. He will discuss the initial challenges, performance tuning approach and future roadmap.

          Troubleshooting in the UI

Abstract: We will talk about the basics of Workflow, the benefits of superusers, & UI troubleshooting. We will look at Workbenches, the benefits of a Workbench, different types of Workbenches, using Workbenches to troubleshoot. Then look at Images; what images can do for you & using images to troubleshoot OTM. Once that has been, we will also talk about Statuses. The 2 types of statuses. The benefits of a custom status & using status values to troubleshoot in OTM. Lastly, we will look at Logging: Types of Logging, when to use Logging, and reading the logs

Weight Based Carrier Commitment at Cisco

Abstract: Cisco Systems is the market leader in networking and Hi-Tech Manufacturing industry with annual revenues around US$49.3 billion. Cisco’s supply chain footprint extends across 13 countries and more than 25 locations, making it truly global. This highly complex supply chain system includes more than 20,000 virtual teams, 700 suppliers, 3200 order categories and 220,000 items shipped on a daily basis. Furthermore, it is diverse with more than 30,000 orderable items and 60,000 components; each product being customizable and configurable to meet customer requirements. Cisco has been leveraging most established capabilities of Oracle Transportation Management from Sourcing and Rate Maintenance to Order & Shipment Management and Financial settlement to fortify their competitive advantage. The operationalization journey of Freight Sourcing at Cisco brought to focus that awarded bids often resulted in carrier/service provider contracts that were periodic weight-based capacity commitments. In response, Cisco has developed an ‘in-house’ solution that works with Oracle Transportation Management version 6.4.1 to implement weight-based capacity constraints that honor awarded carrier bids. Cisco's solution includes monitoring cumulative planned shipment weight to given carriers per lane, adhering to business configurable thresholds and assigning carriers to order releases for planning. The solution is scalable and applicable in equal measure to both outbound and inbound logistics. Successful implementation of this solution has improved carrier participation in sourcing bids and partner satisfaction. Cisco's solutions are one of the industry's first and has also been accepted as part of OTM's product backlog to be introduced as an out-of-box feature in a future release.

                Implementing Inbound Transportation

Abstract: Until just recently Ingersoll Rand outsourced their inbound transportation with a third-party transporter. A decision was made to manage inbound transportation in house to centralize Transportation within our organization. This presentation will demonstrate the development and configurations implemented to handle inbound transportation needs within OTM. We will also cover the lessons learned and approaches to overcome these obstacles.

How Coca Cola Beats the Market with OTM Cloud

Abstract: Routing guides are rarely updated and move slowly. At the same time, they are critical to effective procurement. So why not make them smarter? In this talk, we discuss the story behind Coca Cola’s move to Oracle Cloud and how they were able to create a smarter routing guide by integrating with Loadsmart. Loadsmart, a digital freight brokerage, provides Coca Cola real-time market rates for every shipment moving in their routing guide. By inserting real-time rates alongside the static prices, Coca Cola is able to take advantage of favorable conditions and avoid overpaying for routing guide freight. The result? Loads are covered earlier and at a demonstrably lower cost, resulting in significant savings and reduced spot volume. Join Hunter Yaw, VP of Product @ Loadsmart, and John Reynolds, Director of IT for Supply Chain at Coca Cola, to learn: Why Coca Cola made the move to Oracle Cloud. How Coca Cola integrated with Loadsmart via OTM. How the Dynamic Routing Guide works. How Coca Cola has benefited (...and you can too). Why algorithmic sourcing, not assets, is the new guarantee for capacity
