The Journey from On Premise To Cloud – An Automotive Customer Case by Matteo Padovano Di Leva, Business Reply
As a global leader in automotive production and distribution, this Customer has a worldwide OTM implementation where processes and data are regionspecific. After being active on OTM on premise for about 15 years, the Customer has recently decided to move to OTM Cloud Instance choosing a roll-out plan based on geographic distribution. The project started in July 2019 and while some regions are already live on OTM Cloud, others are targeted to be migrated before July 2020. The project methodology is organized in two main streams: the first relates functional elements within the OTM implementation and the second one concerns the data migration. Coordination and leveraging of those two streams is being the key for the success of this initiative.

Design Approaches for Transport Unit Building in OTM Cloud by Daniele Patetta & Brian Ramos, Oracle
Whether you are modeling a digital twin of a pallet, slip-sheet or lattice box, the design decisions you make in OTM for packing can have profound impacts on performance, complexity and, ultimately, cost. Should I pack at order creation or shipment building? Are ERUs and PRUs sufficient to solve my business problem? How to leverage the enhanced 3D load algorithms to build optimized ship units? This presentation will explain the business value of leveraging some of the most powerful functionalities in OTM’s planning engine for optimizing ship units. Complex scenarios discussed are: multi-order and multi-customer ship unit optimization, cost-based ship unit building, multi-compartment equipment with moving curtains optimization.
