With the implementation of their first TMS solution in 2004 Sonoco was a leader among peers to leverage this technology. After initial implementation however, the solution did not evolve to take advantage of increased capability and by 2017 the legacy solution was at risk of losing support. In 2017 Sonoco Logistics established the Process Improvement department and began a journey of continuous improvement with a commitment to not be leaders once again in leveraging technology with regards to managing transportation. This journey started with the implementation of OTM Cloud in North America. In 2020 Sonoco was ready to take the next major step in the Continuous Improvement journey by expanding OTM to Europe and redesigning the integration with their core ERP Oracle EBS. This project not only brings stability and visibility in the space of logistics outside of NOAM but it also unlocks core functionality within OTM to bring even more value to the spend area of Logistics. Sonoco is one of the first to implement the new batch based model with Oracle EBS.
Blake Faucette has worked in supply chain for the last 15 years and with Sonoco the past 8. Blake has responsibility for Continuous Improvement and all technology initiatives within Sonoco NOAM Logistics. Blake holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management from the University of North Carolina Wilmington as well as a general MBA from the University of South Carolina.

Michael holds a German Diploma in Industrial Engineering of the University of applied Science in Mannheim.
Ashwin Rao has been involved in consulting and implementation of Oracle products for the last 17 years.
